The Acura RDX comes with a 2.0L Turbo Aluminum-Alloy engine that delivers 272 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. Remaining as safe as possible throughout your commutes is the most important thing for both you and Acura.
That’s why the RDX comes standard with AcuraWatch™, a comprehensive suite of driver-assisting technologies. A group of four technology features make up this standard safety suite: Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Keeping Assist System, Collision Mitigation Braking System™, and Multi-View Rear Camera with Dynamic Guidelines.
Let’s take a closer look at how each system works to keep you as safe as possible.
Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow
This system allows you to travel with your cruise control supported. Using front-mounted technology, the distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you is monitored.
Should this distance differ from the pre-set one, your speed can automatically drop to maintain said distance. When possible, the Adaptive Cruise Control system will return you to your cruise-enabled speed.
Lane Keeping Assist System
Using the marked lines of your lane, the Lane Keeping Assist System will help keep you centered in your lane.
Should the system detect when you’re straying from your center lane, it may step in to provide gentle assistance to safely reposition you.
Collision Mitigation Braking System™
Similar to how the Adaptive Cruise Control system works, the Collision Mitigation Braking System™ scans the area ahead of you to monitor your positing with the vehicle in front of you.
If an obstacle is detected, you’ll be presented with a visual alert so that you can slow down to stop. Should no reaction occur with this warning, gentle brake pressure may be applied to avoid a collision.
Multi-View Rear Camera with Dynamic Guidelines
Backing up just got a whole lot easier, thanks to the Multi-View Rear Camera with Dynamic Guidelines.
When reversing, a live feed will appear on your infotainment screen. You can choose between normal, wide angle, and top-down view to help you get a clear picture of your vehicle’s surroundings.
The Acura RDX actually doesn’t have any trim levels. Instead, the front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive models come standard with a certain number of features. If you want to add more, you can select from the different available packages: Technology, A-Spec, and Advance.
You get front 12-way power seats with power lumbar support, no matter what. If you opt for the Advance Package, you’ll be upgraded to front 16-way power seats with power lumbar support, power thigh extension, and power side bolsters. Either option provides the ability to get in that perfect position and relax comfortably when sitting up front.
Furthermore, the RDX comes standard with heated front seats. Select the A-Spec Package, and the seats become heated and ventilated. Take it one step further to the Advance Package, and the rear seats are heated, too!
For entertainment, you’ll get SiriusXM® Satellite Radio and Bluetooth® technology standard with every RDX. With the Technology Package, you’ll also have an Acura Navigation System with 3D View to take advantage of. This feature provides ultra-fast directions that can help you navigate seamlessly through freeway ramps, forks in the road, and other challenging situations.
This also comes with Traffic Rerouting™, so you can get to wherever it is you’re going as fast as possible.

With 29.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats, there’s plenty of room to fit items of all shapes and sizes in the RDX. For those days when you need a bit more wiggle room, you can fold down the rear seats to obtain a maximum cargo capacity of 79.8 cubic feet.
Need a little extra cargo space? Take advantage of the standard underfloor storage. This hidden compartment is perfect for hiding valuables or having easy access to items you need when traveling.
Acura knows, though, that there will be days when you need a mix of both passenger and cargo room. Fortunately, there’s the standard easy fold-down 60/40 split flat-folding rear seatback. Plus, they’ve made loading your RDX as easy as possible with the help of the available hands-free tailgate.
To access this area, simply wave your foot under the rear-mounted sensor while the key is on your person. The tailgate will open, allowing you to pack the rear of your RDX even when your hands are full.
Not only is the cabin spacious, but it’s sophisticated looking, as well. With an array of premium materials and finishes, the RDX can reflect your personal style like never before.
