Help Program for KidsWorking with thousands of families and making a difference in countless lives is just what Ronald McDonald House does. When children are in need of medical treatment, the last thing they or their parents should need to worry about is where they are going to sleep.

So, Ronald McDonald House offers them warm beds, food, and the support they need to make it through.

History

Since 1974, Ronald McDonald House has been helping children and their families find a home away from home. Where it began small, it has since grown into a global organization with more than 370 houses across 43 countries and regions.

This New Jersey house has been in its current location for over 20 years. Over those years, it has served as a home for more than 28,000 families who have seriously ill or injured children being treated at local hospitals.

Overall, they work to lift children and their parents to a brighter tomorrow by offering hope, help, and home during a time when their focus is on their child’s wellbeing.

Families are welcome to stay as long as they need while their children are being treated. While parents focus on taking care of their child, the House provides daily comforts and necessities.

They have 25 bedrooms with private baths. Each room has a unique theme, like NASCAR, Avengers, and Legos. There is a garden, as well as TV lounges and a living room with a fireplace for people to rest and relax. Plus, guests will have internet access, home-cooked meals, and access to laundry facilities.

As a child-centric facility, there are playrooms, basketball hoops, video games, and family spaces for the kids to enjoy. They even have a teen room for older kids to have their own space.
