RDX vs CX-5: Engine Specs & Performance
Under the hood, both the Acura RDX and Mazda CX-5 are dressed to impress. However, the Acura RDX takes a quick step ahead of the CX-5 with its increased engine power.
The RDX features a turbocharged 2.0L 4-cylinder engine across its five available styles. With it comes 272 standard horsepower as well as 280 lb-ft of torque. The Mazda CX-5, on the other hand, is equipped with a standard 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that offers 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque.
That’s not all, though. The Acura RDX continues its impressive performance with a slew of additional features, starting with its 10-speed automatic transmission with Sequential SportShift paddle shifters. The CX-5 also offers an automatic transmission, but it’s equipped with just six gears.

Each SUV also comes with an interior cabin designed for comfort and convenience. Once again, though, the Acura RDX has a bit more to offer.

It also offers just a simple rearview camera, while the RDX provides a standard Multi-View Rear Camera with Dynamic Guidelines along with an available Surround-View Camera System.
