The Acura NSX also utilizes the Sport Hybrid SH-AWD® system. In fact, it’s the first supercar to be powered by this system.
The vehicle also comes with a 3.5L V6 engine, plus three electric motors. With this combination, you have 573 horsepower to put the pedal to the metal. Additionally, the engine is mated to a 9-speed dual-clutch transmission. The first gear is to launch, the 9th one is great for cruising, and you have a close ratio 7-speed gearbox right in the middle.

The SH-AWD® system works in any situation. For example, when entering a curve, the rear outside motor will spin its wheels slightly faster to help rotate the RLX through every turn.
The power generated by the rear inside wheel is then directed to the rear outside one. This gives you plenty of handling benefits while drawing little from the car’s battery.
The AWD system also works well in less-than-ideal conditions. Power is directed to tires with more traction and away from ones with very little grip. As a result, you can continue to travel on slippery surfaces while remaining in control.
